Warning against fraudulent e-mails

Recently, more and more foreigners are receiving emails with the senders «swissimmigration@consultant» or «eu_immigration@consultant». This sender falsely claims to be a Swiss immigration authority. The State Secretariat for Migration warns against such messages and recommends ignoring them.

In most cases, a fictitious job in the hotel industry is offered, followed by fraudulent e-mails whose sender is eu_immigration@consultant.comswissimmigration@consultant.com, Swissimmigration.center@gmx.com, Suisse-immigration@protonmail.ch and eu_immigration@swissmail.com. The senders demand payment of 300 to 1,000 euros for a permit in Switzerland and for health and accident insurance. The State Secretariat for Migration SEM never sends requests for payment for a permit in Switzerland or for health and accident insurance by e-mail. These e-mails do not come from the SEM and should be considered as an attempt at fraud. The SEM therefore recommends ignoring these e-mails. This concerns people who are looking for a job in Switzerland.

If you receive such fraudulent e-mails, you should contact eu_immigration@sem.admin.ch and report the case to the National Cyber Security Centre NCSC.

General information on Internet threats is also available on the website of the National Cyber Security Centre NCSC.
